Now that summer is here we are in constant search of water activities! The kids love playing in our backyard pool, frolicking in the ocean and running through the sprinklers. Evan is doing great boogie boarding in the pool and ocean, his fear of water has subsided a bit and he is more comfortable every time we hit the waves.
Miss Malia on the other hand is quite the daredevil, charging the ocean (she caught her first tiny wave boogie boarding), climbing on everything (and I mean everything, most recently learning to climb up onto our bed), jumping off stairs and just about scaring the crap out of us every time we turn around to find her. She is still a sweet heart, giving kisses and hugs and smiling at everyone who looks her way.
Fourth of July weekend we enjoyed a beach trip with my parents who just returned from Italy, Greece and Spain. They also watched the kids while Teo and I had an amazing time riding bikes, hanging with friends, bar hopping and playing in the waves for the fourth. While the kids watched fire works at home with grandma and grandpa, we enjoyed them in OB (Ocean Beach) ending the night with a marshmellow fight, yep I said marshmellow fight....picture hundreds of people on the beach throwing marshmellows at each other...ahhh best fourth of july yet :)
